SNAKE! WHAT DO I DO?

DO NOT PANIC
This is critical.
We understand that
many people have a fear of snakes, however snakes are far more scared of you than you are of them.
If the snake sees you it will likely try and retreat to safety and seek cover. Contrary to the myth that snakes 'chase' people, this will never occur if you maintain an appropriate distance and avoid making the snake feel cornered.

Keep calm and call 0415 214 064

KEEP ALL PEOPLE & ANIMALS  AWAY FROM THE SNAKE

In addition to remaining a safe distance from the snake yourself, it is essential that you keep other people and pets away from the snake.

A snake only becomes dangerous when interfered with.

DO NOT attempt to catch or relocate the snake yourself.

Leave that to a professional snake catcher and call 0415 214 064

KEEP AN EYE ON THE SNAKE
This is key if you want the snake species identified or the animal relocated. If a snake is inside your property, it is highly recommended that you seek the service of a professional snake catcher by calling 0415 214 064
Most snakes you encounter outside will usually move on in their own time, however it is recommended that any dangerously venomous species found at your home or workplace be relocated elsewhere.
There is no guarantee of catching a snake, especially if you don't know where it is located, so keeping it in sight or isolated in a single room is ideal.

IDENTIFCATION

If you are simply seeking to have a

snake identified, then it is best to take a photograph if it is safe to do so. You can either send/text the photo directly to our team, or call us on  0415 214 064 to describe the snake.

RELOCATION

If you want to have a snake relocated from your property, contact us immediately on

0415 214 064. Try to safely keep an eye on the snake as it will make it easier for a member of our team to locate and catch it on arrival. If the snake retreats to cover, try and watch any possible exit points until the snake catcher arrives.

If the snake is inside, it is even more important to keep an eye on it. If you do not feel comfortable or safe watching the snake, try and confine it to one room by closing the door and jamming a damp towel underneath it.
